Really beautiful location. Staff were great - shout out to Milan, who made our stay special (and not just because of his mojitos which are excellent), but also to Abhishek and Sidharth who really looked after us, and in fact the whole team including the manager. Rooms were a really good size, clean and beds very comfortable. Amazing views of sea, mountains and if you're an early bird like me, sunrises. Great aircon and sound proofing (we didn't realise there'd been a large storm one night because we didn't hear anything, and we never heard our neighbours either). Food absolutely delicious with a good wine list. Reasonably pricey but if you want something simpler there's a good restaurant just the other side of the bay (4 min walk). Waters around the island incredibly clear and warm. Immediate access to the crystal clear sea from the hotel down steps, or slightly further along bay from (small) sandy shoreline. Mainly sand underfoot, with a few pebbles (no need for beach shoes). Water reasonably shallow (can easily stand) nearest the shore, then only a very short walk til it's a swimming depth. The bay is really quiet until early afternoon, when a few private boats come in from Dubrovnik - especially on a Sunday. There is a regular ferry to Dubrovnik/the other islands from the other side of Kolocep (a 20 minute walk), but we didn't use it as we'd already been to Dubrovnik and took a private boat to the other Elafati islands. Latter highly recommended to see the Blue Caves and some amazing swimming/snorkelling. We also did a lovely walk (maybe an hour) to the lighthouse (but didn't walk down to it) and back. All in all, this hotel is an excellent place if you'd like peace and quiet and a chance to recharge your batteries, which is exactly what we were after - and got. Also for those who'd prefer to travel light, we had one load of washing done for us at the hotel.

The location and room were fantastic Staff were all extremely friendly, acommodating and helpful. We’d chosen to walk here from the ferry on the other side of the island, so the relaxed checkin with a small glass of local sparkling wine was very welcome and set the tone for our 2 nights here. We were able to check-in early which was very much appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean. The wow factor was that it overlooked the sea and we could hear the water at night - very relaxing. After reading other reviews we brought our own tea so that we could enjoy a cuppa before breakfast on our balcony. I loved the small touches to make our stay so enjoyable- our bed had been made, bin emptied and the floor mopped etc while were at breakfast. We used the hotel Kayaks to see the Blue Caves and lighthouse and swam in the little bay near the hotel. We also spent a day walking around the beautiful, peaceful island with its stunning views of the Adriatic from the pine tree forest and so much different wild flora to appreciate. Thoroughly recommend. Wish we’d stayed longer.

The location is beautiful. The sea is safe and sandy. The hotel is on the waters edge. The staff are friendly, helpful and extremely hard working. The apartment was clean and comfortable and super quiet. The food is, in the main very good and executed well, especially the scallops and tuna. The lunchtime menu had simpler options which were welcome. Breakfast was really delicious, fresh fruit and excellent omelettes and perfect poached eggs. I love the intimate feel of this hotel and the laid back vibe with a touch of class. The private transfers by speed boat are a great start/end to the stay.

We LOVED this hotel! The nicest place we’ve ever stayed, worth every penny. We stayed for our anniversary and it felt so special. The whole island is walkable in around 45 minutes. We saw starfish and octopus whilst snorkling! One of the only sandy beaches and seabeds we found in Croatia, brilliant for swimming. Used the rooftop pool a couple of tomes and had it all to ourselves. Brilliant friendly and kind staff. Loved every minute!!

Rebecca

Extremely attentive and friendly staff that made sure we were comfortable from the moment we stepped foot on the island. The hotel is right on the beach and I loved watching the sunrise from my room, then having breakfast every day right by the sea. The amenities are new and clean, breakfast is varied and tasty. Thanks to Mario, Katarina and Darko (among others) we spent a wonderful vacation and cannot wait to go back.
